Terms of Service

Welcome to Zowrk. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Zowrk (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using our website, dashboard, or any related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Zowrk in any way — including browsing, creating an account, or receiving a payment — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.

2. What Zowrk does

Zowrk is a business tool for Nigerian creative freelancers. It provides:

Payment links — create and share one-time or reusable payment links with clients for any project or invoice.
Service storefront — list your services as priced packages on a public profile page that clients can browse and pay from directly.
Digital product sales — sell eBooks, templates, presets, and any downloadable file, with automatic secure delivery to buyers after payment.
Wallet & withdrawals — all incoming payments land in your Zowrk earnings balance, which you can withdraw to a verified Nigerian bank account.
Pro tools — available on the Pro plan: branded checkout pages, contracts with digital signing, professional delivery flow, client approval system, AI-powered proposals, and work request filters.

Zowrk is a tool provider, not an employer, agency, or marketplace. We do not participate in, oversee, or guarantee any agreement between you and your clients. Disputes about service quality, delivery, or refunds are between you and your client — not Zowrk.

3. Your responsibilities

By using Zowrk you agree to:

Provide accurate, up-to-date information when creating your account.
Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Only sell legitimate services and products that you are legally permitted to offer.
Fulfil the services or deliver the products you collect payment for.
Not use the Services for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
Comply with all applicable laws, including tax obligations on your earnings.

4. Payments

All payments on Zowrk are processed by Paystack, a third-party payment provider regulated in Nigeria. By accepting payments through Zowrk, you also agree to Paystack's Terms of Service.

Zowrk does not store your customers' full card details — this is handled entirely by Paystack.
Once a payment is confirmed as successful by Paystack, it is final. Refunds are your responsibility as the seller.
You are responsible for any chargebacks initiated by your customers.
Clients do not need a Zowrk account to pay you — they pay via Paystack on your checkout page.

5. Fees

Zowrk charges a platform fee on each successful payment you receive:

Platform fee (all plans): 4.5% of the transaction amount, capped at a maximum of ₦10,000 per transaction. This fee is deducted automatically from the payment before funds are credited to your earnings balance.
Withdrawal fees: Free. There are no fees to withdraw your earnings to your bank account. Zowrk absorbs any transfer charges on your behalf.
Pro subscription: ₦4,500 per month (see Section 6).

Example: If you list a service at ₦50,000, Zowrk deducts the 4.5% platform fee (₦2,250) and credits ₦47,750 to your earnings balance.

We may update our fees at any time with reasonable notice via email or your dashboard. Continued use after the effective date of a fee change constitutes acceptance.

6. Pro subscription

The Pro plan is a monthly paid subscription priced at ₦4,500 per month. It unlocks the following features in addition to everything on the Hobby plan:

Your brand on every checkout page — remove Zowrk branding and show your own.
Contracts with digital signing — create, send, and collect legally binding digital signatures.
Professional delivery flow — submit deliverables to clients through a structured, trackable delivery system.
Client approval system — clients formally approve or request revisions on your delivered work.
AI-powered proposals — generate professional project proposals automatically from a brief.
Work request filters — set minimum budgets and structured brief requirements for incoming client requests.

The platform fee (4.5%, capped at ₦10,000) applies equally on both Hobby and Pro plans — upgrading to Pro does not change the transaction fee.

Pro subscriptions do not renew automatically — you must renew manually before your plan expires.
If you do not renew, your account reverts to the Hobby plan at the end of your billing period. Your earnings balance and existing data are not affected.
Subscription fees are non-refundable, including for partial months or early downgrade.

7. Withdrawals

You can withdraw your available earnings balance to a verified Nigerian bank account at any time.

Once a payment is confirmed, it is credited to your available balance and you can request a withdrawal immediately.
Withdrawals are processed through Paystack and funds are sent to your bank account.
Identity verification via your BVN (Bank Verification Number) is required before any withdrawal can be processed.
The minimum withdrawal amount is ₦1,000. There are no withdrawal fees.
Withdrawals may occasionally be delayed due to Paystack processing times or your receiving bank. Zowrk is not liable for such delays, but we will always help you investigate if a payout goes missing.

8. Identity verification

To protect against fraud and comply with Nigerian financial regulations, Zowrk requires you to verify your identity using your BVN (Bank Verification Number) before withdrawals are enabled. You can retrieve your BVN by dialling *565*0# on any Nigerian network.

You must submit accurate identity information. Mismatches may require correction before funds are released.
Failure to complete identity verification will result in withdrawal restrictions until verification is completed.
Your BVN and identity data are handled securely, shared only with our verification provider, and used solely for identity confirmation — never for any other purpose.

9. Prohibited use

You agree not to use Zowrk to:

Engage in fraud, money laundering, or any activity that violates applicable law.
Sell illegal goods, stolen content, counterfeit products, or prohibited services.
Impersonate another person or business.
Send spam, phishing messages, or unsolicited communications through the platform.
Probe, scan, or attempt to exploit any part of the Services without authorization.
Use the Services to build a directly competing product.
Process payments for services you do not intend to deliver.

10. Account suspension

Zowrk reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time if:

We detect suspicious, fraudulent, or abusive activity.
You violate any provision of these Terms.
We are required to do so by law or regulation.

Where reasonably possible, we will notify you before taking action. If your account is terminated for violations, any pending withdrawals may be held pending investigation.

11. Limitation of liability

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zowrk is not liable for:

Disputes between you and your clients about service quality, delivery, or refunds.
Loss of income resulting from platform downtime, feature changes, or account suspension.
Delayed or failed payments caused by Paystack or third-party bank issues.
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Services.

Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the fees you paid Zowrk in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Your content

You retain full ownership of the content, products, and materials you upload to Zowrk. You grant us a limited licence to host, display, and deliver that content as needed to operate the Services. You represent that you have the legal right to sell or share everything you list on the platform.

13. Termination

You may stop using Zowrk and close your account at any time by contacting support. Zowrk may terminate your account for violations of these Terms or if continuing to provide the Services to you would expose Zowrk or other users to harm. Sections covering fees, liability, and disputes survive termination.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or via a notice in your dashboard before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance.
